Join us at The Maker Space for Community Creative Mending Workshop on Saturday, 22nd February.


The workshop will be hosted by one of our locals Alice Cullen, a textile designer based in Brockley who is passionate about extending the life of clothing and textiles through creative reuse and mending. Unlock your creativity and breathe new life into your wardrobe with Stitch!

The session will involve an introduction to Hand Embroidery and Sashiko techniques, perfect for customising or extending the lifespan of your clothes. In this enjoyable session, you'll learn a variety of embroidery stitches and methods to mend and personalise clothing or other textiles.


We’ll cover essential stitches, as well as techniques like applique and the traditional Japanese art of Sashiko. All materials and equipment are provided, but feel free to bring a garment you’d like advice on!
