Our recent Legal & Rights Awareness Session provided critical insights into how changes in UK migration policies are impacting Ukrainians’ ability to work, study, and secure housing. PRESENTATION

Led by Solomiya Baranets from J. Preedy Solicitors LTD, the session addressed key issues, including:

  • Extension of the Ukrainian Scheme: Attendees learned about the 18-month visa extension for Ukrainians under UK protection and its potential effects on career and employment rights.

  • Employee Rights and Legal Protections: Participants discovered the legal safeguards available to employees in the UK, including workplace rights and broader protections.

  • Proof of Right to Work: Solomiya explained what to do if a visa is nearing expiration and an employer needs proof of work eligibility. She demonstrated how to use the UKVI account to provide this verification and shared how her firm assists by providing letters to employers for further clarification.

This session equipped attendees with vital information to navigate their employment rights and secure their future in the UK.
